Documented Life Project...

Does the name sound familiar?

Maybe you are one of the 10,000+ people who are participating in it?

What started as a small project has captured peoples interest and sky rocketed.

For the last year, many of you have been following a weekly prompt and incorporating it into a  Moleskine planner whilst documenting your life.

Everywhere I go on my travels someone has theirs with them and are so excited to show me what they have done.

It has been so successful that the team of gorgeousness's
Lorraine Bell
Rae Missigman
Sandi Keene
Roben-Marie Smith
have decided to do it all again next year, 2015.

This time, instead of the Moleskine planner, they have chosen a new journal for everyone to work in….

And heres the exciting bit…

Its going to be in my Dylusions large journal…whoop whoop.

How frikkin cool is that…??
Fabulous news with a slight drawback :-(..

With many of the 10,000 followers wanting to purchase the journal, there might be well be a shortage coming up! If you need to stock up on your journals or need one for the project, then don't leave it till the last minute to do it.

UK peeps we have plenty HERE

Loved this display from the lovely Michelle at Everything Scrapbook and Stamps

I have decided to give away a few of the journals in celebration. If you would like to own one leave me a comment, stating why, and I'll pick a few winners. Can you also let me know which country you are commenting from?

The DLP project is free…yes you heard right…it is FREE to join and become part of their ever-growing community.

Details HERE

If you want to learn how the girls decorated their individual journals in their own imitable style the have a paid workshop planned which is purely optional.

Check it out HERE

I am delighted to have been asked to do a guest spot or two for them, so keep your eyes open for that.

I'm going to leave you with a journal page as I haven't posted one in an age.

After a long teaching day, I am heading for my bed, and after 47 already there are only 2 sleeps left before I set off for a week at home, can't wait.

Sweet dreams and…

Enjoy xx

I'd love to win one of your journals for the project. I have two of yours already that I am working through. One is using only your products and ideas - I took a class of yours and decided to keep it moving. The other is quite the collection of randomly learned techniques and things I'm trying on my own. I'll need a clean slate to join in 2015. I'm in the USA. Ta

I would love one of your journals. I only accidentally heard that you are coming to Salem, Oregon, way after the fact. There was only one opening even though I wanted to take ALL of your classes, especially the all-day journaling class. I'm pretty far down on the waiting list for that class and would love a journal so I can at least watch more YouTube vids and do work on my own. Can't wait for the Technique Tag class!!!

ooh, great news! this sounds fantastic! and yes please, i'd love a chance to win a journal :)

i'm a beginner, and i bought one of these journals when i first started out at the beginning of this summer. i was so excited to try out the deliciously coloured dylusion sprays and yummy stencils etc, but even though i was really careful it must have somehow leaked into the binding(?) so lots and lots of pages fell out, which was a super sad experience for me because i absolutely love everything else about this journal -- especially the size and the gorgeous paper! (it's possible that i got a faulty copy?) not that i mind playing with loose sheets, but honestly it just isn't the same as a journal... a format i absolutely adore.
anyway, i'd love to get a chance to try again, using acrylic paints and gel pens this time, and masking tape to protect the binding ;) however, i'm on a really tight budget and also bedbound, which means i can't simply go out and get a new one. so, winning a new journal would obviously mean the world to me. and if it were signed by you, it would only make it all the more precious..! :) <3

thanks a million for being such an amazing inspiration!

love,

Hello sweet lady! I completed every week of the 2014 DLP up until this coming week. It has been a fabulous and rewarding journey and I am so looking forward to using your wonderful large journal for 2015. I already have three of your large journals that I am filling up with your ink sprays and stencils and everything you have taught me thus far. Since Orlando has NO "fun stores" except the box stores I will drive a couple hours to She Scrapbooks in the Villages or Whim So Doodle in St. Pete to get my new journal. I am so excited you will be a guest artist during the 2015 year. I love and miss you. I hope I see you in 2015. Take care my dear friend and safe travels always. Jill

I'm writting from Poland :)

I visited the AFTH shop yesterday (there was the link on the Documented LP blog) and couldn't find it, there were only small ones ;) However, I was extremely happy to discover by the way that I can buy Somerset Studio magazines in Europe! (shipping from the US costs almost 3 times as much as the magazine itself!) I don't know the shipping price from AFTH (not stated), but I truly hope it'll be affordable for me... Anyway, I've been journaling in school notebooks, with very thin pages, or on loose pages (I'm not sure if this is the right term, I mean separated pieces of paper) and just recently decided, that the time has come (for a professional one ;)). It means that picking me is a really good idea! :)

I love the dylusions journal. I already have one and love it to bits. It takes any media and is so nice to draw on, spray ink on and paint and anything you can think off the journal just laps it up. I would love to win a second journal as i would love to start with a fresh new journal for DLP 2015. I am from Australia.

Ah bless you Dyan you must be shattered - been following the Documented Life project just not managed to join in this year (picked the wrong journal to begin with), now a Dylusion one makes complete sense!

They are the best journals to use. I've tried loads and end up just using them to draw and cut out as they don't hold ink like yours.

Hi,

What a great idea DLP 2015
I'm just a beginner in artjournaling and i'm following your blog. You do great things in your artwork. Just love it. I love to work with the spray ink from ranger. I do have 3 colours now, but there gonna be more. Now i'm working with moleskine journals, but your journals look way better. So i would love to have one. Hope i'm one of the lucky winners. :)

Unknown said...

CONGRATULATIONS Dyan! I have not as yet tried your journal because I need to use up all the ones I have. But hey, there's gotta be a first time for everything and what better way to start a new journal than at the start of a new year, yeah?

I just gound DLP fot 2015 thru a FB journaling group., and a so excited abou all the wo derful possibilities this brings. Over the years I srarted, like so many others, scrapbooking. Always behind the camera instead of in the picture. I have progressed to art journaling after meeting you earlier this year. At last, I am ready to start including me in the documentation process.

Participating in the Documented Life Project was one of the best parts of 2014! In what was a personally challenging year for me, I found the diverse set of prompts challenged me to stretch my artistic wings, all the while taking comfort in the pleasure of expressing myself through art. The project helped me try many new techniques and tools and I'm so proud of the journal I've created. Thank you for offering the opportunity to win one of your journals.

I would LOVE to try one of your journals! I've heard such wonderful things about them but I can't find them in stores near me (I'm from the USA, near Rochester, NY.)

I tried DLP in 2014 with the Moleskine. Hated the Moleskine paper. Switched to a different journal and that didn't work either. I'm excited to try again in 2015 with your fabulous journal as a base. Cheers!

Hi Dyan, I am so excited about DLP 2015. Especially since you and Dina are part of it. I participated in DLP 2014 with my large dylusions journal (amongst others) and am happy they are going to use it too. It's a lovely journal. I live in Suriname (South America) and have to order everything from the US or the Netherlands since there are no artshops here. So I would really love to win a new journal. Have a great day Dyan! <3 and hugs from Melissa.

I would love to win one of your gorgeous journals for the DLP 2015, this year my journal fall apart and tore. So by mid summer I was so upset I never continued. But I have been in and out of the face book page peeping at all the wonderful art everyone is doing. I fully plan on following through in 2015, and your journal would help me do that. I live in BC Canada, way up on the north west coast line.

I am so blessed to be a part of your class this weekend. Since I am the girl who had black paint splattered all over my favorite purple hoodie, maybe you will have some sympathy for a newbie art journalist who is getting ready for a humongous change in her life in 2015. I also want to share one with my best friend and get her hooked so we can start doing this together...so really, now that I am thinking out loud, I would probably give it to her and buy my own.

Fantastic! I loved starting my DLP project this year but didn't keep up with it - maybe the larger format in your fab journal will keep me going! Congrats on the pick of your album as the Book of the Year!

Hi Dyan I'm not lucky enough to live close to your shop so can't attend your workshops or so far haven't managed to get to one of your workshop preview days so I can book a weekend workshop with you cos I'm always working :-( would love the chance to have one of your journals to participate in the DLP. It will give me something to craft for even when I'm busy at work. I craft much better to deadlines that just taking my time lol. Thank for the chance to get one. And one day I will get to come along to your weekend workshop who knows I might stand a better chance booking one in America when your next there lol take good care of you

Love Cassie x

My friend has just introduced me to art journalling but I have yet to give it a go. I have purchased a number or products but my excuse is I don't have a journal so I would LOVE to win this, my first, then no excuses. Australia

This is fabulous news Dyan. it will be great to work in a trusted journal that I know will be able to stand up to all kinds of materials and techniques I would like to use. The quality speaks for itself with your journal and being a larger size is good.
Very generous of you to offer some giveaways and I will be very happy to use one of yours for the DLP

I've only just started journalling this year so would love to sign up for the documented life Project to learn from the real pros ;)Would love to win one of your journals that your are so generously giving away because I have no doubt they are made up of quality paper that will withstand a variety of inky paintyness.
I'm commenting from the UK :)

I think this is just the thing to get me into journaling. I've tried to get going in the past, but never stuck to it. Having a community of folks doing it to join would be a fabulous motivator. Using your journal and inky things will be the icing on top! (USA)

I have the smaller one LOVE love LOVE it! The paper is smooth as butter and it is just perfect!! I'd like the bigger one to devote purely to Bible journaling/Faith journaling. Have a great day!!

I just finished my first ever journal page using your small Dylusions journal and was thinking "I need the big journal so I have alot more room to play".

So I would like to win one of the large journals bacause I'm taking the 2015 DLP class for the first time.

Thank you for the chance to win!

I am brand new to this and I have watched your Videos. Love you. I tried purchasing a journal from Amazon but they do not have any. I am on a type of what I suppose is a wait list. I live in USA. I have purchased some of your spray inks and templates (60% off at Joanne's Whoop Whoop) and excited to get started playing this weekend so I will be ready in 2015. Thanks for all you do!! You of course at the BEST!

I'm new to art journaling and I'd luv to win one of your journals. The sketchbook I'm using at the moment is so porous so it's awful to work in. Can't wait for your lesson on Lifebook 2014 😊
